Research

Remittances and exchange-rate dynamics in Ghana

James’s MSc dissertation, titled Exploring the Nexus Between Remittance Inflows and Exchange Rate Volatility in Ghana’s Frontier Market, examines the relationship between remittance inflows and exchange-rate volatility in Ghana. The analysis uses quarterly data from 2006 to 2025 and explores conditional volatility using GARCH and EGARCH models.
